So I had the chance to try out another food truck at Berkeley’s Off The Grid yesterday. I’m planning on making this a weekly trip for as long as I can afford to (internship ending soon, so we’ll see). Senor Sisig was definitely one of the most decorated food trucks out there. The line wasn’t too long, and the menu looked good. I decided to try out this Filipino/Mexican fusion.
I ordered their California Sisig Burrito, which had organic chicken, cheese, guac, salsa, and…fries?
*Record scratch sound effect*
Fries in a burrito? I know, I was confused, too. Confused but curious. Would it really work? Could it take the place of rice, beans, and the like?
A resounding yes. The crunchy texture of the fries, combined with the tasty chicken, rich guac, and spicy salsa was amazingly good.
Yep, this place is a winner, and a good food truck to hit up if Fivetenburger‘s line is too long.
