Every once in a while, you’ll hear of a good food place that people rave about, but you never find the reason to go. For me, Urbann Turbann was one of those places. I remember buying a soda there on a hot day a couple summers ago because they were the only Northside restaurant that accepted credit cards. But other than that, I’d passed by a dozen times without so much a look inside.
Until today.
And what a glorious day it was. Urbann Turbann hands-down has great food at great prices. An Americanized Indian fast food joint sounds far from appetizing, but this concept surprisingly works. Think Indian Chipotle. You can get a naan wrap with your choice of veggies or meat and your choice of sauce and toppings, or like me, you can order the rice bowl, with Tandoori chicken, rice and potatoes, all the veggies, and spicy habanero sauce.
Overall, service was quick, the people there were friendly, and I left feeling very full after enjoying a delicious meal. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant as a place to check out on Northside’s Euclid Avenue.
