Two things to know about Fluff Ice: (1) They serve blue boba (blue!) and (2) They have an awesome selection of single-serving shaved snow. What exactly is shaved snow, you may ask? Popularized by eateries such as Class 302, shaved snow is basically shaved ice, but instead of just normal slushy ice, it’s fluffy, powdery, and flavored. It’s like eating snow, if snow were fruit-flavored and sweet beyond belief!
I had a gift card to Fluff Ice, which is located in Monterey Park in the new Atlantic Times Square shopping center, so I decided to try their mango shaved snow with…you guessed it – chopped mangoes as the topping. Of course, they added sweetened condensed milk, and the treat was absolutely delicious and refreshing. Unlike shaved snow at Class 302, which requires you to bring at least two friends in order to finish a single order, the snow at Fluff Ice is prepared in single-serving cups, making things a lot more convenient and even possible to grab a chilly dessert on the go.
I’d love to see them open some branches in NorCal in the near future!
