The McRib has nothing on this BBQ brisket sandwich. The Rib Whip’s Texas Brisket Sandwich, 13-hour smoked and dripping in tangy BBQ sauce, is what the McRib can only dream about becoming. You’ll find this delicious meal, along with an assortment of other rib/pulled pork sandwiches, at the Off the Grid at Berkeley on Thursdays.
The owner of The Rib Whip claims that his food truck is “the nation’s only truck with an onboard smoker.” That smoker has most definitely been put to good use, and all the food being served looked absolutely delicious, from the Pulled Pork Sandwich to the Sweet Potato Fries.
I’ll let you in on a little secret: the Off the Grid on Southside is one of the least busy food truck gatherings I’ve seen – we were there for an early dinner Thursday, and there were hardly lines for any of the food trucks. Back in the summer, the wait was at least a solid hour for a good food truck.
So set aside some time Thursday nights to enjoy a hot tasty meal at Off the Grid!
