One of my favorite German fast food items was actually a mishmash of ingredients from different parts of the world. My friends and I were traveling in Dresden, Germany, when we came upon one of the many well-known currywurst stands in Germany.
Curry 24, as this stand was called, offered a decent serving of currywurst – pork sausage cut into slices and seasoned with curry and ketchup. Who knew such a combo could work so well? From slightly tangy to nice and savory, this currywurst didn’t disappoint. Add in the fries and it was a lunch fit for the kings.
No wonder every mayoral candidate of Berlin is photographed in front of a currywurst stand.
